Since 1971 players of all sorts of shape, size, nationality, dress sense and ability have taken to the field in the name of Standard Life Cricket Club. Some have been quite good. Others have been persistent. Many have been simply dreadful, but we are ostensibly a social cricket club (despite our occasional successes) and without men in maroon tracksuits or tight shorts and work shoes in rain, the story of the club would be more threadbare doormat than Bayeaux taperstry.
While the bald facts and figures may mask the contribution individuals have made in club history, they are a necessity for the number-obsessed among us.
Once more, thanks go to Iain Murdoch who originally trawled through the pile of yellowing scorebooks to transcribe this information into an electronic format that could be plundered for use by others. The career stats will be brought up to date some day, I promise.

If you maintain that you were never awarded those four leg-byes against Edin Uni Staff or can remember who took the catch in the 1973 fixture against Maccabi then let us know.
